SBG’s Mann Wins Pro Debut In Swift KO

Kalispell, MT, April 6, 2019 – ADVENTURE COMBAT ENTERPRISES FIGHT NIGHT

SBG Montana’s Marnic Mann won her pro MMA debut, defeating her opponent Megan Renee Winick by knockout 1:19 in the 1st round. The fight took place at Adventure Combat Enterprises’ inaugural Fight Night on Saturday, April 6th at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.

Mann’s brings an impressive 5-0 amateur record to her pro MMA career. With this win, Mann is an up-and-comer in this highly competitive sport.

“She’s not as nice as she appears,” SBG MMA Coach Daniel di Stefano said. “She has the necessary mean streak many successful fighters cultivate to bring a kill-or-be-killed attitude in the cage.”

“It would be hard to find a student more dedicated to training,” he added.

As an experienced member of SBG’s MMA team, Mann was prepared and focused to step into the cage at Saturday’s fight.

“Her preparation and focus gave her confidence to step in there, in front of her home crowd, and perform like she trained,” SBG Head Coach Travis Davison said.

“It feels amazing to win my first pro fight,” Mann shared.

Mann’s consistent efforts in MMA training is the greatest contributor to her entry into pro MMA fighting.
“She recognizes that success doesn’t happen overnight and that growth happens through consistent, small improvements,” di Stefano said.

Mann has already proven her determination to overcome any obstacle in front of her. “I’ve grown tremendously as a fighter. Believing in myself has changed everything for me both mentally and physically.”

Her coaches identified the potential for success beyond the Montana MMA scene.

“The sky is the limit for Marnic. She is young, hardworking, and determined,” Davison shared.

“Women’s MMA is still in it’s infancy,” di Stefano added, “and with hard work, the future is wide open.  With just a bit more experience, there will be opportunities to fight all over the world.
