Accomplish Your Goals & Conquer Your Day With One Habit

What does your morning routine look like?

Is your routine to jump out of bed at the last possible second, shoving food and coffee down your throat on your way out the door?

Or is it to get up at the same time every morning, preparing your mind and body for the day?

Do you scroll through social media until it’s time to go to work?

Or do you make time for writing and read for personal growth?

If you feel like you’re always struggling to reach your goals, then it’s time to shake up your daily habits. And that all starts with your morning routine.

Your morning routine determines whether your day will be reactive and proactive and whether you reach your goals.

When you have a poor routine, your day is reactive. You are constantly reacting to everything because you didn’t mentally prepare yourself that morning.

When you have a good routine, your day is proactive. You are in control of how your day will go and prepared for anything that comes at you.

More importantly, you have space to put yourself in a positive mindset, set your goals for the day, and achieve them like a Warrior Woman.

Follow these 7 habits to create a better morning routine:

  1. Stick to your bedtime routine. This will ensure that you are getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep and that you get up on time.
  2. Wake up earlier. Start small. If your goal is to wake up at 5 a.m., start by waking up 5-10 minutes earlier each time. It will take time for your body to get conditioned to the new routine.
  3. Wake up your body. An ass-early-crush-it-workout isn’t for everybody, but you do want to get your blood moving. Do some light yoga poses, go for a walk, or drink a glass of water.
  4. Use the alarm, not the snooze button. Follow through on your commitment. Those 9 minutes you doze in bed could be used toward making you healthier and happier!
  5. Fall down, get back up. Don’t beat yourself up if you fail at it. Like building any new skill it takes practice. Tomorrow is a new day to try again.
  6. Start simple. Start with one habit every morning, whether that’s getting up early, writing, or working out. Choose one habit to work on and build a morning routine from there!

So, what do you want to work on?

A writing practice?

A yoga practice?

Preparing a satisfying, protein-rich breakfast?
