PRESS RELEASE: SBG Athletes Compete In Fusion Fight League’s Ladies’ Night

Billings, MT – Saturday, April 1st

Three amateur fighters out of Kalispell’s SBG Montana competed in Fusion Fight League’s first all female fight card.

Leah Taylor went up against Jordan Branstetter of Billings, MT, defeating her by TKO in the first round.

Marnic Mann fought Lean Alford of South Dakota, winning in the first round with a rear-naked choke.

Jen Johnson fought Kelly Clayton of Yakima, WA. While Johnson endured a hard fight for three full rounds, Clayton ultimately won by unanimous decision.

For Taylor, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this fight card was notable for being her first MMA fight and for being an all women’s fight card. Taylor said,

“This was my first MMA fight. It ended up being a last minute catch weight match so I didn’t really have time to get nervous. We both had 3 different opponents back out. It felt great to test the new skill set I have been training. It is a completely different sport than BJJ. It made it even more special to be on an all women’s card along side two of my teammates and friends.”
